The Health Sector
Olive’s involvement in the health services sector varies from developing Carbon Management Programmes for NHS Trusts and other health service organisations to delivering environmental training.
Olive and its strategic partner, Clouds Environmental, having worked with health services organisations for some time, have developed a strong reputation in this sector. With a focus on practical and effective delivery of carbon management, environmental improvement and financial savings Olive’s services seek to add value to the effectiveness of the NHS Trusts they work with.

Local Authority and Education
Recently Olive has been involved in energy awareness campaigns from planning to training, implementation and long term strategy.
Previous and ongoing Local Authority and Education projects include Carbon Footprinting, Carbon Management Plans, environmental review and audits for research institutions, and a range of training including Sustainable Procurement and Waste Management for a University Waste Consortium. |

Construction
Olive are project partners in the ERDF and SEEDA funded ZeroWise project, aiming to reduce waste arisings to landfill from the Construction sector. Olive are both delivering training on Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP) to construction companies, architects, local authorities and planners, and assisting with the implementation of SWMP to result in financial savings, resource efficiency and reduced waste.
Olive have been involved in the successful implementation of Integrated Management Systems to the ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004 standards for varoious construction companies. Olive also developed a 'Sustainability Integration Plan' for a major contractor. |

Aerospace and Defence
In 2007/08, with BREW (Defra) funding, Olive worked with 20 small, medium and large manufacturing companies to establish a Resource Efficiency Club to embed environmental best practice and metrics. The project resulted in an average 5 times return on investment year on year and significantly reduced environmental impacts.
Olive also delivered a SEEDA funded project to raise awareness of the 'Sustainable Procurement' requirements within the MoD supply chain. Olive researched the feasibility of implementing rainwater harvesting for a Naval dockyard as well as a Carbon Management Scoping Study.

Marine
In 2009/10 Olive were project partners in the ERDF and SEEDA funded project SMARTA, encouraging resource efficiency within SME organisations in the Marine sector leading to improved profitability and environmental performance.
In addition, Olive have worked with Marine companies in the development of legislation, aspects and impacts registers and other EMS components.

Retail and Supply Chains
Olive has been involved in numerous retail and supply chain projects, from in-house training to internal environmental auditing, feasibility studies and EMS implementation. All projects are made bespoke to the client's individual needs to ensure the project is successful long term to bring about environmental improvements and financial savings.
