Introduction to Environmental AwarenessAn introduction to understanding how the earth works, how humans are part of it, what it means to your organisation and identifying actions to take.Accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), this one-day certificated course will provide delegates with an overview of the earth's natural cycles, definitions of sustainable development, current environmental issues and their relevance to your organisation with the identification of organisational actions. Sustainable business practices not only save costs but also build brand and other "non-financial" value, improves access to capital, fosters innovation and strengthens competitive advantage. Delegates will receive an IEMA certificate following completion of the training course that can be used to demonstrate to organisation stakeholders that the business is engaged and taking the environment seriously.
Those in the organisation with responsibility for its environmental performance. This extends from those on the shop floor who could turn a risk into an accident and need to be able to judge the consequences of their every day decisions with better understanding of the consequences, to the director on the board who would be held responsible. This course is designed "to turn the lights on" regarding the risks and opportunities in a company’s environmental performance.
