Understanding how to meet your obligations An introduction to environmental law and how to ensure that you are meeting your obligations. This one-day course will address the requirements of the key environmental legislation, and provide advice on good practice to ensure your continued compliance. It will also inform your approach to compliance measures by giving you an insight into the drivers behind the growth of and changes in the law. Keeping up with the increasing amounts of environmental legislation is a difficult task for most companies. Following a brief analysis of the key pieces of UK environmental legislation and its relevance to your business, the course explains how to create and maintain a register of legislation relevant to your business and how to ensure compliance and awareness amongst those responsible for applying the law. Some case histories will be discussed. There will also be an update on forthcoming legislation to help you stay ahead of the game. Examples of the legislation covered:
