What is the aim of the Leadership and Management Programme?The Train to Gain Leadership and Management programme aims to provide small businessowner managers and company directors in the South East region, with up to £1000 of funding to help develop business leadership skills. As part of the application process, Train to Gain will provide you with a complimentary tailored Personal Development Plan. This is a new programme - funding is available from now and is likely to last for 6 months. What is the funding?Funding of up to £1000 (excluding VAT) is available for training courses that develop business leadership:a member of the management team participates in the training. In this case the business will pay the full £1000 and reclaim £500 from Train to Gain. Therefore £1500 of training is available for £500. Both elements of training must be taken up to be eligible for the funding. Who is eligible?You must be a business with 10 to 250 employees and based in the South East region to qualify for funding. The training must include members of the management team to demonstrate business leadership.What other conditions apply?A LSC assessor will confirm each company's training course requirements and choices. The training must have started and the grant claimed within 90 days of the grant being approved.Which Olive training courses could attract Train to Gain funding?Olive's training courses develop leadership skills in environmental awareness, waste management, EMS, carbon management, procurement and legisaltion. Olive runs open training courses based at the Southampton Science Park, or can tailor make a course bespoke to your requirements, and our trainers will come to you!See below to find out how to apply for funding or to view Olive's training courses click here. Open training courses are designed to meet the requirements of a variety of learning styles and will include the use of visual aids, group discussion, presentation and practical group work exercises. All courses are available at the levels described below: Provides a basic overview of the subject and is designed for those requiring an introduction to the principles. It is equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Provides a more detailed understanding and is designed for delegates who perform a broad range of activities sometimes complex and non-routine. Delegates may have responsibility for specific issues or require a higher level understanding. It is equivalent to NVQ Level 3 / 4. A detailed analysis of the subject designed for delegates requiring an in-depth technical understanding. It is equivalent to NVQ Level 5. Olive regularly tailors training to clients’ requirements and is able to deliver a very wide range of bespoke courses.
