NHS customers for example, faced with up to 60% of their carbon footprint arising from procurement of materials, need to work closely with key suppliers. Suppliers in turn will benefit from stronger relationships, associated cost savings and opportunities for innovation. <br /><br /> In a climate where public sector finances are going to be increasingly stretched but the carbon reduction targets remain it will only be through a partnership approach that long term goals of carbon reduction will be achieved. Government departments are now accountable for their carbon emissions and must produce carbon budgets to verify how and where reductions are achieved. <br /><br /> The white paper is based on four key topics to focus on carbon and energy security: the transition plan itself, a renewable energy strategy, a low carbon industrial strategy and a low carbon transport strategy. </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="3" align="justify">Although the EU Emissions Trading Scheme will account for emissions from the most carbon intensive industries, there will now be roles for the remaining industries to play. <br /><br /> For the domestic side, the plan introduces  pay as you save and  clean energy cashback initiatives to encourage and reward implementation of low energy technologies and utilisation of  green energy tariffs. Details of HHM organisations were passed to the administrators by UK electricity suppliers, as obligated under the Climate Change Act 2008.<br /><br /> This first mailing was a preliminary contact in advance of the autumn 2009 mailing, which will provide CRC registration guidance. The mobile computer technology and a web-based tracking system are intended to help save businesses time and money, and to aid criminal investigations.<br /><br /> The trial has reported successes moving the Environment Agency to extend the trail until February 2010 to involve more waste companies and waste producers.
